Almost always crystal clear and swell free it provides the perfect swimming conditions for all. Of course, you can simply just hit the sun drenched saltwater pool at the Chalet and relax on the sun loungers.
Rather than float in it, float on it! SUP’s, kayaks, canoes and boats are a great way to see the Brunswick River. Either hire one and explore yourself or local guided tours are available. Drift the peaceful turquoise waters and take time out to breathe in the clean salty air and take in the stunning coastal scenery and wildlife.
Brunswick Heads is known for its top fishing spots. Brunswick Tackle & Surf in Park St will gladly assist you with fishing gear, bait and the best local advice.
Hop on one of our free guest bikes and tour the area. Bike riding is such a fun and rewarding way to get around and make the most of your time in Brunswick Heads.
Seasoned Yogi or Newbie, the local Yoga studio caters for all levels of experience in their group classes or one-on-one sessions.
Scuba diving, Snorkelling & Whale Watching tours operate from the Brunswick boat harbour or Byron Bay.
June to November is whale season and Blue Bay Whale Watching departs daily from Brunswick Heads Boat Harbour and offer 100% money back if you don’t see a whale! Otherwise you can check out Humpbacks swimming from the breakwall.
Only 8 mins drive from the Chalet await unparalleled and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and Northern Rivers hinterland at the Ocean Shores Country Club and Championship Golf course. Additionally, Byron Bay Golf Club also offers a beautifully landscaped Championship course and is just 25 minutes drive.
If you are a surfer, you would know that Byron Bay, just 15 minutes south is one of the best surfing spots in Australia. However, it can get extremely busy at times. The best place to surf in Bruns is generally south of the breakwall. If you don’t have a board just grab one of the free boards at the Chalet, or rent one from Brunswick Surf.
The Chalet is proud to be the only dog friendly hotel or motel in Brunswick Heads. Brunswick Heads is a great place for dogs, including an off-leash beach within easy walking distance.
Walking in Brunswick Heads and the Byron Bay Shire is a pleasure all year round. Hinterland hills, beautiful beaches, tranquil trails allow you to reconnect with nature and enjoy sublime scenery. Ask at reception and we can point you in the right direction.
